If we want to be a society,
We must all work together
And do our part.
I will be a thinker,
You will build my house,
Someone will be paid to keep it clean.
If we want society to work,
We must cast out those who will take advantage of us,
Those who can't, or won't, do anything for our benefit.
The dim,
The slow,
Those who hate the rules we make.
They may live on their own terms,
But they will never live in our world.
Our children must be taught when they're young,
And constantly reminded,
That someone will always make the rules,
That even if you don't like them, they must be followed.
Even the bad, evil rules,
That only benefit a select few.
We can't be responsible for society's ills,
So we will select someone to look after it for us.
Even if we didn't choose them, we must not complain,
For it's not like we could do better.
Society is a paradise,
No matter how many say that it isn't.
It can be cruel, evil and heartless,
But it can, sometimes, be amazing.
So ignore those who are starving,
Ignore those who are scared,
Ignore those who can't speak, or cry so loud you can't hear them.
Society may be unfair,
But to go against it is unthinkable.
We must all work together
And do our part.
