The more I look at success,
The more it looks like a curse
Then a blessing.
It seems we spend a lot of time
Addressing the shortcomings of those
Who have everything
And are beholden to everyone.
The more it looks like a curse
Then a blessing.
It seems we spend a lot of time
Addressing the shortcomings of those
Who have everything
And are beholden to everyone.
Progress came at a cost it seems,
For when we built cities we lost
Touch with nature, and the world
That had been our home.
Somewhere along the way we crossed
The line and became the rulers
Of our world.
So many have to pay a price,
To make sure the world is nice to us
And to our families.
If we had stopped to think twice
About what we wanted
And how much we were bound to lose,
Would we have done it?
