Suffering

There is no reason 
To allow suffering.
Suffering doesn't make people better
Or wiser,
It only causes them pain
And makes it more likely
That they will hurt others in turn. 
There is no meaning in suffering,
The only meaning is in stopping it
From occurring in the first place.
